Advantage Equipment Rental: Ogden-West Haven, Northern Utah, United States; In the spring of 1969 on the Southwest corner of 22nd and Lincoln Ave, downtown Ogden, we opened a 40' x 40' shop. Our plan was to bring, to Northern Utah, equipment for industrial, construction and residential entities without the need to tie up working capital on short term used equipment. As Ranco Equipment we served both the local and regional area until 1997. In 98 Hertz Equipment Rental purchased the firm. They operated the Layton and Ogden locations until 2002 during which the Ogden store was relocated to 3115 South 1900 West, West Haven, UT. The operation was repurchased, from Hertz, by the original owners in 2002. The Layton facility was forced to consolidate with the West Haven store under a Utah Transit Authority condemnation act to serve as a light rail station. We serve the area with construction and industrial equipment from manufactuers such as Case, Wacker, Bosch, Kubota and Ingersol Rand.
